All year round, our friendly and knowledgeable guides are pleased to welcome you to Clynelish Distillery. On your tour you will learn some of the secrets of the ancient craft of distilling.

In our shop we carry a selection of Single Malt and blended Scotch Whiskies.

Clynelish 14 year old Single Malt, 46% vol. Retail price £27.99
Water is piped from the Clynemilton burn to produce this fruity, slightly smoky Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Clynelish 23 year old Limited Edition, Cask strength Rare Malt, 59.1% vol. Retail price £69.99
To enjoy this pale gold 23 year old cask-strength single malt at its best, measure one part whisky to two parts still water at room temperature. Any slight cloudiness is normal in an unfiltered cask-strength malt.Unmistakable sea-smoky, grassy aromas and a soft palate swelling to sweet earthiness, reveal a smooth-bodied, Northern Highland malt with a mustard dry finish.

Brora 24 year old Limited Edition, Cask strength Rare Malt. 56.1% vol. Retail price £69.99
When tasting this bright gold 24 year old Northern Highland cask-strength, look for the bracing iodine aromas and polished, sweet-smoky character of this mighty coastal malt, with its long, finally mustard-dry finish.

Brora 30 year old limited bottling, cask strength Super Premium malt whisky 55.8% vol. Retail Price £175.
A limited edition , natural cask strength Single malt . Only 3,000 numbered bottles worldwide.
This is a distinctive maritime whisky reminiscent of Islay from a Northern distillery that closed in 1983. Little remains: The taster’s note is lyrical:
‘ A connoisseur’s whisky with mouthfeel, flavour and finish. Would be mistaken for an old Islay in a blind tasting’.

The Rare Malts are remarkable cask strength Single Malt Scotch Whiskies drawn from among the rarest, most precious stocks to survive in Scotland. Looked after undisturbed by the same hands since birth, each has been nurtured to perfection, then selected on merit by a distinguished panel of experts. The rare malts are so rare many will never be seen again. This is especially true with BRORA, where only a few casks now remain at Clynelish Distillery. Connoisseurs can see their full rich colour and enjoy their true depth of flavour, thanks to unfiltered cask strength bottling. Nosing them is an act of reverence to enjoy in itself. When tasting, of course, many say that the correct dilution for a cask strength malt is two parts water to one of whisky. Each individually numbered bottle reveals a most intriguing character, its individuality emphasised by a quirk peculiar to cask strength bottlings. So small is each bottling run that every Rare Malt selection, drawn from casks, which naturally differ, has its own unique strength.

Johnnie Walker Gold Label, 43% vol. Retail price £65 litre bottle.
The inspired blend of rare 18 year old whiskies in Johnnie Walker Gold Label gives it a smooth rich character, balanced by a long lingering finish which comes from the addition of the rare Clynelish malt.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label, 40% vol. Retail price £139.99.
Outstanding blend for the specific taste of a highly valued customer.
Specially selected from the finest and rarest of the Walker Reserves. Each individual whisky used in the creation of the Blue Label blend is matured long in its cask until it reaches the peak of its perfection. Few whiskies are allowed the time to acquire such depth and complexity of taste. This is why Johnnie Walker Blue Label has been hailed as a masterpiece of the Blender’s art.
